Nyxeos Consulting was born out of a passion for pediatric sleep health, and the desire to improve patient care and research outcomes for children and their families around the world.

As an internationally-recognized expert in pediatric behavioral sleep medicine and actigraphy, Dr. Lisa J. Meltzer brings over 20 years of clinical, research, and teaching experience to Nyxeos Consulting.

Dr. Meltzer enjoys collaborating with clinicians and researchers who share the goal of improving sleep health, especially for children and their families. She looks forward to identifying ways that Nyxeos can save you time, support your research, and improve the care of your patients.

Dr. Meltzer received her Ph.D. in Clinical Health Psychology from the University of Florida, and completed her clinical internship and post-doctoral fellowship in pediatric psychology and sleep research at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She is a licensed child psychologist who is certified in Behavioral Sleep Medicine by the American Board of Sleep Medicine, and is a Diplomate of the Board of Behavioral Sleep Medicine. Dr. Meltzer is the co-author of Pediatric Sleep Problems: A Clinician’s Guide to Behavioral Interventions, and has published over 120 peer-review scientific papers and chapters. She has received more than $10 million in federal and foundation grant funding, and her research has examined sleep health across development, the impact of pediatric chronic illnesses on sleep in children/adolescents and their parents, objective and subjective measures of pediatric sleep, the impact of changing school start times on health outcomes, and socio-ecological factors that contribute to sleep health disparities in toddlers and school-aged children.
